"Music has the power to connect us beyond where we come from, It reminds me that art truly has no borders."
Raazi HussainIn 2020, Raazi finally gave herself permission to step into music with intention. What had always been a dream began to take shape as reality. She started writing, recording, and slowly releasing her own songs, each one a reflection of honesty, emotion, and life experience.
For Raazi, music is more than sound, it is storytelling, healing, and connection. Her unique perspective as both a healer and an artist gives her songs depth that resonates beyond borders.
Her third release, Sakhi, stands as a turning point in her career. Written for a friend grieving the loss of her mother, the track carries raw compassion and sincerity. It was not designed to be "commercial" or "catchy", it was designed to be real.
When she first shared Sakhi with producers, many dismissed it as not "vibey enough." But Raazi held onto her belief in the song's honesty. That persistence led her to Ahsan Pervaiz Mehdi, one of Pakistan's most respected music producers. To her surprise and delight, he not only loved the track but agreed to produce it. For Raazi, this collaboration was proof that dreams, no matter how unlikely, can come true.
The response to Sakhi has been overwhelming, with listeners deeply moved by its sincerity. The love and appreciation Raazi has received is more than validation, it is a reminder of the power of music to touch lives.

For Raazi, Sakhi also represents something bigger than herself, the idea that art is borderless. Born in Pakistan, creating music in the UK, and collaborating with artists back home & around the world, her journey shows how music transcends geography, language, and culture. A song written for one friend's grief has now reached countless others across the world, proving that emotions have no boundaries.
Of course, with recognition comes pressure. Raazi admits she feels the weight of expectation following the success of Sakhi.
"I'm grateful, overwhelmed, and honestly a little nervous too. Sakhi has set the bar, and now I'm working even harder to create music that connects on a deeper level."
Raazi HussainFor her, this pressure is not discouraging but motivating. It pushes her to pour even more honesty and dedication into her craft.
Beyond her solo work, Raazi has also formed a semi-classical band called MASKAN, where she and her fellow musicians perform together. The band blends traditional South Asian melodies, creating a sound that honors classical roots while bringing something fresh to audiences. Through MASKAN, Raazi and her bandmates explore intricate musical compositions and collaborative creativity, showing that music truly thrives when shared.
"MASKAN is about collective expression. Together, we explore music in its purest form, reminding us that art has no boundaries."
Raazi HussainToday, Raazi is working on new projects, exploring different sounds, and continuing to grow as an artist. Each step she takes is guided by her belief in authenticity and the power of music to heal.
Her story, from practicing medicine to creating music, is more than a career shift. It is a reminder that dreams never truly fade, and that it is never too late to pursue what sets your soul on fire.
As she moves forward, Raazi Hussain carries with her the discipline of a doctor, the empathy of a psychiatrist, and the soul of a dreamer.
With every track, she is not just creating music, she is building bridges, telling stories, and reminding us that art knows no boundaries.
